It goes. Second day of fall, and it’s still 90 degrees. Big cool down for the weekend though, and rain on the way. Should be nice. High in the upper 70s for Monday. Bring it, Mother Nature!

I have the day off. I went out to buy tamper proof Torx screws. That was a lot of work and manual labor for me, so I’m on my third beer. It’s a pretty good day.

Pretty good. Just got back to the office from my lunch break. There’s this little mom-n-pop restaurant in town that offers a daily special for $4.25, including a glass of tea.

I go there because cheap (and yummy food), but also because they make the best damned tea in town, and they’ll pack you up some to go. So now I’m back at work, replying to your post, and sipping on some ice cold sweet tea. Pretty stellar Friday, as far as I’m concerned.

I have a day completely off from my various 4 jobs for once, so taking the time to do a buttload of absolutely nothing productive whatsoever. Just finished playing with the cat, who is now contentedly surveying her kingdom from the comfort of her cat house behind the front deck screen door.

Otherwise, tossed some spare computer parts I had around up on Kijiji / Ebay to earn a few extra bucks towards my FIAT 126 import fund....rewatched the Harry The Tow Truck episode of Roadkill....browsing job sites at the moment.

It’s not been a bad day.

Just trying to find a full-time, permanent job somewhere *sigh* - still living at home at 30 is pretty lame :/

Otherwise, I am a substitute teacher, work at the local libraries, work at the local Tim Hortons and do computer repair and tech. tutoring on the side...trying to save up for a house so I don’t have to spend a lot of money on an apartment when I DO find a job somewhere!

My co-workers had a baby shower and ate all of the cheese and crackers but somehow missed the two-pound sphere of smoke mozzarella due to its beige unappetizing color and shape.

Meh. Slow day at work. Nothing urgent to work on, just waiting on people to get back to me. On the plus side they fed us today. Some kind of a free pasta lunch thing because it’s “mission week”, celebrating the Catholic origins of this healthcare organization.. (not that I’m necessarily Catholic mind you, just means that they tend to value human beings a little more than the usual cutthroat corporate world.).

On the car topic, figured out why half of my dash lights stopped working. There’s an “Interior Lighting” relay under the hood that only apparently controls half of the dash button lights on the MDX, and not all of the “Interior Lighting” as the label would imply.

So overall, not bad.
